About Rachel

Rachel Macaulay's first script was a tortured love story that, she was told, featured unlikeable characters and an unrealistic plot. Undeterred, Rachel continued to write, and more recently, direct: in 2010, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Screenwriting, was shortlisted in two international screenwriting competitions, and her short SHUT UP was shown at the Film Directing 4 Women and Ladyfest 10 festivals. Her short TRISTAN IN THE COWSHED was one of seven finalists in the Soho House Electric Shorts competition. Originally from Scotland, Rachel now lives in London.
