About Orsi

Orsi Nagypal is a Hungarian filmmaker, who escaped the glitzy world of advertising to study at the London Film School. She is most interested in human beings, in everyday people and how they deal with their own life, relate to each other and the society that surrounds them. Her first feature film was selected for the Berlinale Co-Production Market 2011, and her upcoming short film is nominated for the Bosch Co-Production Prize 2011.

Balaton Submarine

East and West-German united at Lake Balaton in the early 80's, from an 11-year-old Hungarian boy's point of view: Sunshine, GDR nudists and family troubles in a decaying system that make everyday absurdity seem normal.
