About Marianne

Marianne was born in Lofoten and educated at Nordland Videoverksted and The National Film and Television School in London. As an actor she has appeared in films including, INSOMNIA (Erik Skjoldbjærg) and, UTOPIA- NOBODY IS PERFECT IN THE PERFECT COUNTRY (Motlys). Marianne directed a series of short and mid-length films, including the award winning COME and MY SISTER MYSELF. She is currently developing her first feature film.

Knock Out

Iris, aggressive and confrontational, has served a long prison sentence for the manslaughter of her partner. We meet Iris 3 month after her release. Her older sister has been looking after Iris's daughter Julia, aged 12. Julia is doing well and Iris feels that Julia is better off without her. But gradually Iris comes to realize that all is not as harmonious as it seems. However - if Iris is to truly reach her daughter she has to confront her own hidden issues of vulnerability, commitment and love.
