Gerardine graduated in 2000, and began her film and television career at Thames Television, which was followed by a move to Channel 4.  Within three years, Gerardine joined Film4 at a pivotal point in their history and she rose to the role of Production Manager.  Handling production and development negotiations, Gerardine's responsibilities included managing the production side of all shorts and low budget features.  After five years, in March 2009, Gerardine moved into the freelance world, working with both BigTalk Productions and Film Finances Inc. She line produced the BAFTA nominated short CUBS in 2006, while working full time at Film4 and has produced two shorts COWARDS AND MONSTERS and PITCH BLACK HEIST.
