About Anita
Anita Lewton is MD of production company Corazon Films UK. Trained initially as an actor
she toured with political theatre companies then ran Metro Theatre
Company with Stephen Daldry before studying screenwriting and
production at UCLA Los Angeles.
After working at Roger Corman's /Carolco Studios and in
development she returned to make her own films and wrote
for Dogme TV (C4) and BBC2 features. Anita produced for E2
Films on feature length documentary RFK MUST DIE (LUFF
London Film Focus 2007) and Second Generation a comedy
feature about ethnic characters in BRICK LANE (dir. Shane
O'Sullivan). On, GOD IN MY POCKET, an innovative
mobile feature shot in Paris in 2007, she acted again for the first
time in fifteen years to the screen of a tiny Siemens mobile.
She is currently a tutor for various organisations including new
global internet training start up IMAGINOX Creative Arts
Academy, launched in 2011. Prior to that she was elected
co-Chair of the New Producers Alliance from 2006-2010 and trained
countless filmmakers both in UK , Tunisia and Romania. She has
spent time living in LA, Ireland & Paris.
