Hannah Kodicek is a director and screenwriter who has worked in
film and television for many years, mostly in the UK. Her feature
film, A Pin for the Butterfly was shown at many key
festivals, and several script commissions followed, but she now
prefers to live outside the rat race, in a tiny peaceful place in
Bohemia, working mostly as a story editor, and running a writers'
retreat.
Hannah's journey to directing and writing was through TV/film
acting, broadcasting, puppetry, and theatre. In more recent years,
Hannah has also worked in the Multimedia industry, creating and
developing several projects part-funded by MEDIA such as a notably
a major web-wide interactive storytelling and treasure hunt website
called TimeHunt, which won a special jury prize at the
Europrix Top Talent competition in the Interactive
Entertainment category at the WSA Worldprix.
The TimeHunt project was a co-production of Wellspring
Interactive ltd (UK) and Studio 727 (Slovakia).
Throughout her career, Hannah has also worked as a lecturer,
tutor and story-editor, including regular lecturing and tutoring at
the pan-European Arista story-editing workshops (1996-2008). Last
year Hannah worked as Story Editor on the film The
Counterfeiters, which won the Foreign Language Oscar.
