Anna Seifert-Speck is currently working as a Film Development
Executive for EM Media, the Screen agency in the East
Midlands. EM Media is a proven test-bed for new, emerging and
in-transition film talent and amongst the screen agencies its
achievements in film are unrivalled. Anna manages EM Media's
development slate, consisting of 45 projects at various stages, and
executive produces and develops shorts and new talent features.
Credits include Nick Whitfield's 'Skeletons' (Michael Powell award 2010) and
Andrew Haigh's 'Weekend' (Emerging Vision Audience Award
SXSW).
Prior to joining EM Media Anna spent five years working as a
Förderreferentin (Film Advisor) responsible for new talent at the
Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the regional fund servicing
Germany's capitol and its surrounding area. Anna has also been a
member of the grant awarding jury of the Hessian Film Fund
(2003-2007) and has served on the selection committee of the
Step-by-Step Development Programme.
Anna studied screenwriting at the German Film and Television
Academy Berlin (dffb) and has taught scriptwriting at Berlin's
University of the Arts. She has a background in (continental)
philosophy and literary translation.
