She is currently the Head of Drama and Comedy at the
Flemish broadcasting company Vmma,
where she is responsible for locally produced series on VTM and 2BE and is a
buyer of Dutch speaking films. Her rich background includes: being
a member of the committee choosing the Belgian contribution for the
Academy Awards, reader at the Flemish
Audiovisual Fund, advisor and independent media consultant for
various companies and distributors (including Eye works, Bridge
Entertainment and
Benelux Film Distributors), docent in film marketing at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve
(LAD) and director of TV and radio commercials for film
distributors Buena Vista Benelux and MMG/Eye works Belgium. From
2001 to 2005, An was the director of Kinepolis Film Distribution, the
biggest independent film distributor in Belgium responsible for the
releases of Frida, The Hours and Gangs of New York.
