The Bureau

Since being established over a decade ago The Bureau has become one of the UK's most distinctive production company's. In that time The Bureau have produced, and co-produced, a wide range of feature films, including The Warrior (Asif Kapadia), Isolation (Billy O'Brien), and Unmade Beds (Alexis Dos Santos). This work has played at festivals around the world, received an Oscar nomination and won BAFTAs for Best Newcomer, and Best British Film.

The Bureau has always been commmited to working with new talent and in 2002 founded the UK's premier short film scheme Cinema Extreme with Film4, the UK Film Council, and support from Skillset. This led to the development, and commissioning, of a string of award winning films. Many of the directors have since gone on to feature film careers, including Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank) and Jens Jonsson (The King Of Ping Pong).

In 2010 The Bureau successfully launched the SOS development programme, as part of a continued commitment to work with the best emerging talent from across Europe.
